This is a great programme. Once you have set up your DVR and PTZ with the RS 485 twisted pair telemetry, it is easy to access screen displays (OSD) for the camera functions by linking in your laptop (or desktop) to the RS 485 twisted pair, at any point in the line, via a com port rs 232 to rs 485 adaptor which plugs into your computer com port. Pelco Spectra cameras (and many others) work directly by pressing the 'menu' button on PTZ Controller. Honeywell ACUIX camera OSD are also accessible by pressing 'preset 090' from the drop down presets list on PTZ controller, then using the Ptz GUI and iris + and - to navigate the camera OSD menu.
Note: you will have to have your com port listed in the PTZ controller and it has to be open (tryb the 232 analyser programme for easy access). If you have more than one instance of the PTZ controller open on your desktop, the com port will say 'access denied'.
